🌍 About the CROSSCOMP Initiative

CROSSCOMP is a cross-border collaboration project between:

  • Technical University of Moldova (TUM) * Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași (TUIASI) * State Agrarian University of Moldova (UASM)

The project aims to improve academic education and infrastructure in the automotive engineering sector, aligning regional curricula with modern industry requirements.


🧑‍💻 Participation Highlights

As a participant, I attended a dedicated webinar series held in April 2021, focusing on modern trends in automotive engineering, including:

  • Hybrid and electric vehicle systems
  • Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS)
  • Embedded electronics and diagnostics
  • Curriculum innovation and modern teaching methods
  • Industry–academia collaboration case studies

The webinars were part of a broader training initiative that included lab upgrades, course improvements, summer schools, and master program planning under the name Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (HEV).

Cătălin Creciunel is a graduate of the Technical University of Moldova, specializing in microelectronics and nanotechnology. With over 5 years of experience as a Research Scientist, he has developed innovative solutions for semiconductor materials including ZnO, GaP, and InP through thermal treatment and anodization techniques. His expertise spans embedded software development in Python and C/C++, hardware design using CAD tools, and nanotechnology research including semiconductor and composite nanofiber production. Cătălin is dedicated to advancing technology through continuous learning and innovative contributions to microelectronics and embedded systems.
